JHA · How We Roll

Easy to work with.
Impossible to outwork.

We keep the atmosphere light and the standards heavy. Here's what it actually feels like inside Just Hanging Around — for the drivers in the seats and the partners on the other end of the phone.

SEC. 01 — Inside The Shop

Relaxed people.
Relentless operation.

VIBE

Low Ego, High Standard

Nobody here is too important to grab a phone, chase a POD, or help solve a 2 AM breakdown. Titles are thin, accountability is thick, and the best idea in the room wins.

FAMILY

Names, Not Numbers

Dispatch knows your kids' names and your favorite lanes. When your truck is in the shop, someone actually checks how you're doing — not just where the freight is.

LADDER

Grow As We Grow

We're a growing fleet, and every new truck creates room to climb — better lanes for veterans, mentoring roles for the experienced, and a real say in how this place runs.

SEC. 02 — A Week At JHA

Same standard.
Seven days a week.

Beat 01 · Map It

Loads planned like they matter

Hours, weather, appointment windows, home time — everything on the table before a single load is confirmed. Good runs are built the night before, not rescued at the dock. Seven days a week, the plan comes first.

Beat 02 · Check It

Iron gets inspected daily

Pre-trips are sacred, and shop time is scheduled — not discovered on the roadside. Reliable trucks are the quiet secret behind every on-time week.

Beat 03 · Talk It

Everyone hears everything early

Driver to dispatch, dispatch to customer — information moves fast and in full sentences. Surprises are for birthdays, not for freight.

Beat 04 · Land It

Deliveries closed out clean

On the dock on time, paperwork squared away, POD sent, settlement accurate. Done means done — no loose ends rolling into next week.

Beat 05 · Score It

Review it. Reset it. Roll on.

What went smooth, what didn't, and what gets tightened before the next dispatch. No waiting for Friday around here — our trucks run seven days a week, so we score every day and rest on rotation. The freight never takes a weekend, and neither does our standard.

SEC. 03 — Why It Matters

Culture is what happens
at 2 AM in Nebraska.

Anyone can look like a great company when everything goes right. The truth comes out in the hard moments — a blown tire in the middle of nowhere, a receiver who won't unload, a family situation that needs a driver home now.

In those moments, our people don't get a ticket number. They get a person, a plan, and a company that has their back. That's the whole culture, honestly. Everything else is decoration.

The JHA Handshake

Five things we promise each other

  • The phone gets answered. Period.
  • No load is dispatched that we wouldn't drive ourselves.
  • Home time is a commitment, not a suggestion.
  • Problems get owned, not passed around.
  • Safe miles get celebrated louder than fast ones.

Good people. Good trucks. Good luck finding better.

If this sounds like your kind of shop, let's talk.
